Practice Note: Developing policy

The 1988 Guideline on Conservation Policy also required review. The Practice Note has been designed to explain the steps in developing policy and address common issues encountered when developing policy. Some material from the Illustrated Burra Charter has been used in this Practice Note.

Use this forum to discuss how policy for places of cultural significance should be developed, what factors need to be considered.

And is a Practice Note needed on the implementation, monitoring and review of policy?
